There might be a couple ways to make a girl crazy, but there’s just nothing like a boy…

Evie’s new pop country song, “Girl Crazy” has fun with its title and subject matter. Not only does she flip the script on the expectation, she also takes a more playful approach to songwriting compared to some of her more bittersweet and cautionary lyrics.

A signature guitar lick opens up this playful, four-on-the-floor country hit. The instrumentation is simple, yet full, pairing perfectly with the puppy love lyrics on display.

The new song is the final promotional single as a lead-up to the release of her debut EP, “I Like Me Better,” which debuts on all streaming services September 12th, 2025.

Evie’s latest single aims for stadium heights. “I Don’t Wanna Love You” pairs Evie’s personal, pop country style of songwriting with loud choruses and that millennial stomp-clamp-hey beat.

Breakneck banjos and a stereo chorus lift Evie’s latest song to the rafters. Lyrically, the narrator urges for space between them and a new interest. Before this gets to the point of infatuation, obsession, and potential heartbreak, the narrator plainly states, “it’s better to never have met.”

“Wrote this for the nights u knew better,” Evie shared on her Instagram page. She’s been hyping the new single since its release this September.

A reference to Bruce Springsteen feels fitting, as the music echoes that Heartland pop of The Boss, John Mellancamp, and Tom Petty. Lyrically, Evie’s latest pop-country track pines for a summer of love.

The narrator reminisces over a shared fondness for the same music, drinks, and stargazing with her new summer love-interest. The memory only leads her to think of being together, suggesting that the two of them find a way to make a long-distance relationship work.

Evie started off her busy 2025 year with the release of her debut country pop song, “California King.”

Evie’s vocals fit comfortably in the poppy country tune that tells the tale of a soured relationship after her partner casts her and his hometown roots aside for West Coast life and shallow friendships. While the lyrics paint a bitter picture, the melody is infectious with a sing-along vibe.
